Bring Aspen Black's “Generations Legacy Project” to your community!

Generations Concert Program

for audiences who enjoy thought-provoking story-songs, short tales, and discussion afterwards

Participants will listen, learn, laugh, shed a tear and most importantly, be inspired to remember people, places, and events from their own lives that shaped them and/or their communities. Aspen shares her own stories and those that she has collected from others on topics such as: the family homeplace, work ethic, changes over the years, generational traditions, rural and small-town life, landscapes and landmarks, lost names and faces, and why what each of us leaves behind and passes forward is so important. At the end of the program, participants will be encouraged to write down one or more moments/stories from their lives and share them with Aspen, who is collecting these stories to bring from place to place, and potentially inspire songs that she could return and share.

Generations Lecture/Keynote Program

for audiences who enjoy spoken-word presentations punctuated by 2-3 thought-provoking songs

Participants will nod, laugh, reminisce, and maybe even shed a tear as Aspen speaks through poignant personal experiences and stories others have told her about families, traditions, small-town and country life, houses, landmarks, lost names and faces, and more, all to inspire listeners to remember and share stories and moments from their own lives.  A few carefully-chosen songs punctuate important topics and further stress the importance of people writing down their memories and family histories before its too late.  At the end of the program, participants will be encouraged to write down one or more moments/stories from their lives and share them with Aspen, who is collecting these stories to bring from place to place, and potentially inspire songs that she could return and share.
